WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG) – A man is in custody after police said that he shot a gun at a vehicle with people inside on Friday evening. At around 11:34 p.m., the Waterloo Police Department was sent to a report of gunshots in the 200 block of Fereday Court. Police believe that a man, later identified as Timothy Chisum, took out a handgun and allegedly made threats toward two people inside of a vehicle. They said he then shot at the vehicle once, and ran away. Police were able to coordinate with other law enforcement agencies to locate Chisum on U.S. Highway 218 near Janesville, where he was arrested. Officials said they located a handgun in his possession at that time. Chisum was charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.

MARQUETTE, Iowa (KCRG) – A fatal crash at a vital bridge between Iowa and Wisconsin temporarily closed it while crews work to clear the scene, according to officials. At around 11:22 a.m. on Sunday, the Crawford County, Wisc., Sheriff’s Office was sent to a report of a collision along the U.S. Highway 18 bridge involving two vehicles. The bridge connects Marquette and Prairie du Chien, Wisc. Officials said that the drivers of the vehicles involved were killed in the crash. The bridge was closed during the cleanup and investigation, but reopened to traffic after a little over four hours. Additional details about the circumstances of the collision were expected to be released on Monday.

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) – One person was killed in a shooting at a Des Moines bar on early Sunday morning. Des Moines Police were sent to the Zora Bar and Rooftop, located on Ingersoll Avenue, after Midnight on Sunday. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the parking lot. The man later died from his injuries at a hospital. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

HENRY COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – Just after 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon, a car was going west on Highway 34 at mile marker 246 when it went off the roadway, heading south. The vehicle crossed traffic heading east and entered the south ditch where it hit a parked truck. After crashing into the truck, the vehicle rolled onto its side and stopped. Two people are dead after the crash, Sherry Reid from Stockport, Iowa and Judith Ellis from Ollie, Iowa. Three people were injured due to the accident, Sean Reid from Stockport, Iowa, Carol Johnson from Fairfield, Iowa, and Tammi Ellis from Ollie, Iowa. Sean Reid and Johnson were both taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals. Tammi Ellis was taken to the Southeastern Iowa Regional Medical Center.
