The Farm Progress Show is one of the best environments in agriculture to learn about the newest equipment, technology, and innovative management practices. Each year the show rotates between host sites in Boone Iowa and Decatur Illinois and this year the show returns to Boone. Matt Jungmann is the director of events with Farm Progress and he says that one of the new aspects of the show is the Agronomy Zone which features research-grade crop plots designed to help farmers make informed decisions.
Jungmann says that seeing new technology in person is much more effective than reading about it or seeing pictures and video online.
In 2024, the Farm Progress Show featured a new traffic route north of the show grounds and Jungmann says that route helped significantly with traffic flow.
