DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) – A shuttle service will begin transporting Dubuque travelers to the Eastern Iowa Airport for commercial flights starting next month. Anaman Concierge Service will provide curb-to-curb shuttle service from the Dubuque Regional Airport to the Eastern Iowa Airport. Passengers can reserve trips on Anaman’s website starting March 1. The service will pick up passengers at the Captain Robert L. Martin Terminal in Dubuque and drop them off at their airline ticket counter at the Eastern Iowa Airport. Departures will leave Dubuque at 2:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. daily. Return trips will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. The shuttle will cost $40 per trip before taxes during regular hours and $50 outside of business hours. The announcement comes after the Dubuque airport’s last commercial airline service ended last month. CID Director Marty Lenss said the key goal of this service is to ensure travelers in the Tri-State area continue to utilize an Iowa airport.
DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) — Property values in Dubuque’s North End are increasing by about 10%, nearly twice as fast as the average Dubuque neighborhood. Dubuque city assessor Troy Patzner said a few factors are at play. In 2025, 731 homes were sold in Dubuque, about 35% fewer than five years ago, creating a scarcity. On average, Patzner said homes are staying on the market longer, but homes in the North End are selling faster and at higher prices than Patzner expected. The combination is leading to higher assessment increases in the North End than in the rest of the city.
JOHNSON CO., Iowa (KCRG) – Growth in North Liberty, Solon, and Tiffin is draining an aquifer faster than it’s being replenished, according to U.S. Geological Survey data presented to concerned residents. About 30 people gathered at the Solon Library to hear researchers break down water level data for the area that relies on the Silurian Aquifer for drinking water. University of Iowa Research Hydrologist Greg Brennan said anxiety about the issue is warranted. The Silurian Aquifer feeds Solon and other towns in Johnson County, but not Iowa City. The aquifer isn’t refilling as fast as people are using it, but there are ways to preserve the natural resource, such as spacing wells apart. Iowa’s legislature allocated $250,000 to study the state’s water resources. Brennan said the full U.S. Geological Survey will likely publish last year’s data later this year.
