The State Auditor has released his report that finds no improper use of the funding, or conflicts of interests, involving an investigation into the All In Grocers grocery store in Waterloo. Rob Sand’s office investigated after concerns were made over how public money for the store was being used, and that city employees had a stake in the store. Waterloo Mayor Quentin Hart says the Auditor’s findings confirm what he says was known all along, adding, “Unfortunately, time and energy were spent chasing a baseless political narrative instead of advancing solutions for a real problem: food insecurity.”

It’s unclear how he died. A second man was arrested. Salvador Castaneda faces charges of abuse of a corpse.

A proposed multi-million dollar bridge in Cedar Rapids may be changing its name to better secure federal funding for its construction. The city of Cedar Rapids called the new bridge the Arc of Justice Bridge as it applied for money, but has since altered it to a more generic name: the 8th Avenue Bridge. The bridge crosses the Cedar River near the Federal Courthouse. The city had secured a more than $56 million federal grant for the project.
