Keeping the Community Safe

Caution if you intend to listen for the next two minutes…I may be a dangerous threat to our community.

At least that’s according to the fine folks at YouTube, which flagged the video version of one of these commentaries. “There may be an issue with your content,” the email read. “We found something that may violate YouTube’s guidelines. To help keep the community safe, we’ve removed it.”

Well, thank goodness…I want our communities to be safe, too.

“Your content was removed due to a violation of our Community Guidelines. Because it’s the first time, your account isn’t affected. You’re only warned once, and this warning will remain on your channel.”

And of course, I have the right to appeal and all that. But if it happens again, the channel will get a strike, and I won’t be able to upload, post, or live stream for a week.

Pretty serious stuff. Thank goodness they jumped right in…to remove a video that has been posted for 23 months.

That’s right…on February 1st, 2021, I wrote a piece called “The Honeymoon Is Still Over”—in it, I noted that Democrats were giving the new president a short time in which to deliver on his promises, and noted that he already faced headwinds from those who do not believe in the 2020 election results.

That’s it, no assertion on that topic, just stating the fact that some had questions.

The very stability of our republic has been at risk for the 23 months that video was out there for viewing…so thank goodness the YouTube content police jumped in to save all of you from my words.

No, I did not bother to appeal, because I really don’t care if a two year old, three-minute commentary is on their channel. Just like I did not appeal the last time this happened—ssshhh, don’t tell YouTube, because they forgot about the last time they pulled something after two years.

If you are a regular consumer of this segment, consider yourself warned—I can’t be trusted to keep you safe. And if you really want to live on the wild side, we post the video version of these commentaries on Rumble and Facebook. But be warned…go there at your own risk.
