The Year Was 2006–Television shows which premiered included “30 Rock,” “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and “Little People, Big World”…on the big screen, “Talladega Nights”…in the news, the Wii was released, Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot a hunting partner, and Saddam Hussein was executed…and in pop music, Shakira brought us “Hips Don’t Lie,” Carrie Underwood sang “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” James Blunt released “You’re Beautiful” and Bon Jovi teamed with Jennifer Nettles for “You Can’t Go Home.”
