Still Out of Touch
Here’s a small story that really isn’t worth our time, other than the fact that it shows yet again how the elitist Hollywood left is terribly out of touch with the majority of us…and that hypocrisy is alive and quite well in La-La-Land.
There’s apparently a show on Fox TV called “The Masked Singer.” The premise is that celebrities not known for singing dress in outlandish costumes to disguise their identities and then sing. A panel of so-called celebrity judges then try to guess the identity of the performer, and somehow those who sing the worst get voted off the show and unmasked. I’m sure there’s more to it than that, but that’s the key point.
It appears that one of the masked participants was America’s Mayor, Rudy Guiliani. He was unmasked at the end of a taping of one of the shows this week. But instead of taking it in good fun, two of the judges—comedian Ken Jeong and singer Robin Thicke—indignantly walked off the stage to protest that Guiliani was even a part of their little club.
It was not because the Mayor could not sing…they already voted him off the show for that. The mere sight of the former attorney to President Trump was enough to trigger these self-important snowflakes…and they stormed off like little babies who didn’t get their way.
Keep in mind, the show is not set to air until next month, so this whole thing—including leaking Guiliani’s identity and what followed—may just be a pathetic ratings stunt.
Imagine if the roles were reversed, and someone identified with the political right stalked off a stage because a leftist was identified. It’s hard to imagine, I know, because Hollywood would never set itself up for that…and most on the right have enough manners to not engage in the behavior.
Again, I’m not surprised…but we can’t let such things go by unnoticed, so we never forget who we’re dealing with. Alright, I am surprised by one thing…that Rudy even took the gig.
