Another Change
One week from today, the KXEL Morning News with Tim Harwood returns, weekdays from 6 to 8 a.m. We already told you about that, and we told you that at that same time, KXEL is increasing its agribusiness programming, with 11 different segments each weekday. And we said there were a couple of more things like that to share with you.
Well, here’s one of them…starting next Tuesday, September 7, KXEL Live & Local will start earlier, and be on for a longer time. Instead of two hours, starting at 9 a.m. …we’re expanding the program to three hours, from 8 to 11 a.m.
You’ve told us in a variety of ways–online surveys, texts, emails, phone calls–that you wanted more programming that comes from our studios…unique programming that isn’t heard on other stations.
We heard you, and we agree…so starting next Tuesday, KXEL will have five hours of locally produced programming each weekday, from 6 to 11 a.m., including three hours of my program, KXEL Live & Local.
We’re not going to make a lot of changes, just do the things we think we do best, and that you seem to like, even better…and give you more of it.
Our commitment to local programming doesn’t stop there, of course…we’ll continue to have hourly newscasts the rest of the day, and we’ll share some changes there too later. And we have special locally produced programs on weekends…plus unique content whenever you want it at kxel-dot-com.
So as the promotional announcement says, I’m going to need a lot more coffee…but I hope you’ll be along as KXEL Live & Local expands to three hours, from 8 to 11 weekday mornings starting next Tuesday, one week from today.
