On The Farm, On The Radio
As we told you before, two weeks from today, the KXEL Morning News program with Tim Harwood returns to News/Talk 1540 KXEL, weekday mornings from 6 until 8.
In addition, we are adding to our daily coverage of farm and agribusiness topics. We’re proud to be an affiliate of the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network, owned and operated right here in Iowa. You currently hear their reports seven times each weekday, along with “Weekend Ag Matters” Saturday mornings at 7:30. But starting on September 7, we’ll have reports from the network nine times each weekday, adding opening and midday markets to the schedule.
If you live or work in Iowa, you know how important agribusiness is to our overall economy and daily life. These reports are great because they aren’t so long that it will bore you if you’re not into the topic…yet concise and well produced to deliver great information for those who do have an interest.
In addition to those nine reports, we’re adding two more…one is the weekday “Ag Law and Tax Report”, with Washburn University ad law professor Roger McEowen. It just rolled out nationally a short time ago, and KXEL is proud to be one of the first stations to carry the segment.
The other is the daily “Bottomline Report” featuring commentary by Iowa native and former RFD-TV news director Mark Oppold.
You’ll hear the “Ag Law and Tax Report” and the “Bottomline Report” here and there in the next two weeks before they find their permanent home on the schedule two weeks from today.
And yes, we have a few more changes to share as September 7th draws closer…more on that another day.
