The Sustainable Aviation Fuel Coalition represents more than 50 members across the entire value chain, including farmers, producers, and industry partners. Executive Director Allison Graab says that the coalition is attempting to promote SAF to federal lawmakers while ensuring American farmers can benefit from the use of United States feedstocks.
Thom Michels, director of government affairs with United Airlines, and a member of the coalition, points to the upside of SAF which would be protected from some of the disruptions in the oil industry.
Michaels says that while the SAF industry will not be immune to setbacks, it is capable of more stability long-term.
