Figuring out when to apply fungicide can be a difficult task. There are certain things farmers can look for, but, overall, it remains mostly as an educated guess. Pioneer has a new tool that will help eliminate that guesswork and maximize yield potential. Trent Brisby of Pioneer said the Fungicide Timing solution combines seed and fungicide with an AI-driven tool to allow farmers to take control of disease pressure.
Brisby said simply changing the timing of fungicide applications can give an increase of 5 bushels per acre.
Brisby said the tool is constantly working to compile information and help farmers make the best decisions.
With this new information, Brisby said farmers can apply the new Forcivo fungicide, which offers broad-spectrum protection against the top corn diseases.
