The Will of the People
Tea Party Patriots Action released new polling yesterday from McLaughlin & Associates on two key topics in the news–showing voters strong support for the SAVE America Act, as well as for the military conflict in Iran.
The poll surveyed 1,000 general election voters and was conducted on March 10, just this past Tuesday, with a margin of error of +/- 3.1 percent.
Nearly two-thirds, 65 percent, agree the United States Senate should bring the SAVE America Act to the floor for debate and pass the bill.   Almost that many, 60 percent, agree it is urgent for the Senate to pass the SAVE America Act to ensure that only U.S. citizens are on the voter rolls and that photo ID is required before the first ballots are cast.
59% prefer that Senators fight to bring the bill to the Senate floor for real debate and a real effort to pass it, while 21% prefer that Senators hold a vote they know will fail so they can say they tried
The specifics of this proposed law aside, a whopping 77 percent agree that proof of United States citizenship should be required to register to vote in American elections.

The poll also showed strong majority support among American voters for U.S. military action against Iran and continued action to protect the United States and its allies.

A total of 57 percent agree that “the United States military actions against Iran and the leadership of the Iranian regime were necessary and warranted to protect American lives today and in the future.” And even more, 59 percent, agree that “the United States must finish the job once and for all to protect the United States and our allies.”

This is not the only poll to show something similar. Now, will Congress act in accordance with the will of the people…or campaign donors?
