The latest farm bill proposal, known as Farm Bill 2.0, recently passed through the House Ag Committee and now will move to the floor of the House for consideration. United States Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) was asked on Tuesday for his thoughts on the bill and what the Senate version could look like if it passes in the House.
Grassley also discussed the Senate Ag Committee hearing set for Tuesday to examine ways to increase domestic consumption of U.S.-grown agricultural products.
Senator Grassley made his comments on Tuesday during his weekly ag conference call with farm broadcasters and reporters.
