This year’s Commodity Classic in San Antonio saw a record number of farmers in attendance. In many discussions throughout the event, it was clear that farmers are prepared to give this crop season their all, no matter what challenges they may face. Aaron Putze, chief officer of brand management and engagement with the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA), said he enjoyed hearing from farmers from around the country.

Putze said many farmers view the current ag industry issues as structural and not cyclical.

Putze said this means the ISA is looking at how they’ve done things over the past 30 years and what from that needs to change.
