IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – Organizers for an upcoming Young Americans for Freedom event being held at the University of Iowa say their banner was vandalized within two and a half hours of being put up. The banner advertised the event taking place at 7 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the Iowa Memorial Union on the University of Iowa Campus. The event is titled, “October 7: One Year Later – Hamas’s War on Jewish, Christian, American, and Western Values.” Writer and podcaster Ian Haworth is expected to speak at the event. It will mark the one-year anniversary of the deadly attack on Israel by the terrorist organization Hamas that ignited a still-ongoing war. Images of the vandalism show the word “ignorant” written across Haworth’s forehead and a Palestinian flag and the words “Free Palestine,” written across the banner. Organizers for the upcoming event say they have filed a police report in response to the vandalism.
