Governor Kim Reynolds is participating in her final Governor’s Charity Steer Show as Iowa Governor at this year’s 2026 fair. She is the celebrity show person for Norm, the steer of exhibitor Kayle Englin of Orange City Iowa. Norm’s sponsors are the Iowa Beef Industry Council and Iowa Cattlemen’s Association. The event benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Iowa.
Kayle Englin tells the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network that his steer Norm should be easygoing on show day.
Kayle says that Norm has an interesting backstory before making it to the big stage and the Governor’s Charity Steer Show.
Englin says he is excited to be a part of this year’s show and help the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Iowa.
Organizers reported that the 2025 event raised a record $569,000, with proceeds split among the RMHC chapters in Des Moines, Iowa City, and Sioux City.
