BLACK HAWK COUNTY, Iowa (KXEL) — A 22-year-old Waterloo woman died when she fell out of a vehicle that was traveling in the 8000 block of Ansborough Avenue. The incident happened shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday. Black Hawk County Sheriff’s authorities say Tejanna Hatt was a passenger who fell from a silver 2019 Toyota Camry sedan. She was taken by ambulance to MercyOne Hospital, where she later died. The investigation is ongoing.
CLEAR LAKE, Iowa (KCRG) -A 14-year-old girl from Dyersville is dead after two watercrafts collided on Clear Lake during July 4 celebrations. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources said five people, including four minors, were injured in the crash, which happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday near the boat ramp at MacIntosh Woods State Park. The Iowa DNR said one boat was carrying an adult and one minor, while the other was carrying three minors. All five were taken to the hospital following the collision. One minor remains in serious condition and was transferred to the Mayo Clinic. One adult and two minors were released from the hospital Saturday. The DNR did not identify the girl who died. The cause of the collision still remains under investigation.
JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – The Iowa State Patrol says one person was struck and killed after standing on I-80. The incident happened just after 1 a.m. Sunday. The report says the person was standing in the travel portion of the eastbound lane of the interstate around mile marker 245. This is near North Dubuque Street in Iowa City. ISP says the person was struck by one vehicle and then another. Officials have not identified the person who was killed. The incident remains under investigation.
WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG) – Police have identified the man who died in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident last week. Police responded to a motorcycle accident on Sergeant Road near Freedom Lane Wednesday shortly before 4 p.m. First responders identified the rider as 43-year-old Marcus Porter. According to police, the investigation shows Porter was traveling northbound on Sergeant Road when he crashed. No other vehicles were involved.
