The American Farm Bureau Federation is urging Congress to continue work on a new farm bill. More than one month ago, the House Agriculture Committee passed the Farm, Food, and National Security Act on a bipartisan basis. Brian Glenn, director of government affairs for the American Farm Bureau Federation, said it’s time for Congress to continue its progress.

Glenn said the farm bill should be a priority when Congress returns from Easter recess.

Glenn said U.S. agriculture is still working off of the third extension of the 2018 farm bill, and it’s time to get new legislation in place for needed certainty.
