This past Tuesday, the Murphy Family Foundation teamed up with Fareway for the sixth year in a row of donating Easter meal kits to the Food Bank of Iowa. Food insecurity is still more present than ever across the state, and these meal kits will provide a sense of normalcy to food-insecure Iowans this Easter season. Elias Johnson of Fareway said the donation started as a joint effort between friends.
Johnson said the donation also showcases some quality Iowa-raised food products.
Johnson said this partnership fits right in with their mission.
