During the National Agriculture Day event on Tuesday in Washington, D.C., Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins introduced a campaign regarding USDA’s new “Product of the USA” labeling standard that took effect on January 1. Rollins said the new voluntary label signifies meat and poultry products that have been entirely produced in the U.S.
Rollins said the label is all about enabling U.S. producers to be more competitive abroad.
Rollins said the campaign will also give consumers more clarity on where their meat products came from.
