In order to continue to develop the soybean industry, it’s important to focus on more than just the bushels that make it through the combine. Without research, many of the latest ag developments simply wouldn’t exist. Aaron Putze, chief officer of brand management and engagement with the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA), said their agronomic and conservation research team is unrivaled by any other commodity group in the country.
In order to figure out where to take the soybean industry in the future, Putze said it’s very important to be familiar with the past.
Putze said their work with on-farm research doesn’t take away from their focus on driving demand for Iowa soybeans.
