Short stature corn hybrids have gained traction in recent years as an alternative to the traditional corn crop. The Preceon™ smart corn system from Bayer touts some unique benefits that improve on traditional corn. In addition to providing growers flexibility for in-season applications, Battle says the sturdiness of Preceon short stature corn improves on standard corn that growers are used to planting.
She adds that in states used to high winds and extreme wind events, Preceon has shown the ability to withstand extreme weather.
