Supporting the next generation of ag professionals starts at the school level, where students can participate in FFA to learn more about what the ag industry has to offer. This week is National FFA Week, and Iowa Congressman Randy Feenstra visited students in Gilbert, Iowa, to kick off the celebrations. Feenstra said it’s important to engage with these high school students as they decide on what education and career paths they are going to pursue.
Feenstra said he discussed how students can purchase land and livestock in order to start their farming careers.
Feenstra added that he encourages all students to get involved in FFA and gain professional skills that will aid them for the rest of their lives.
