EPA currently accepting feedback on WOTUS regulation

By Riley Smith Mar 14, 2025 | 5:01 PM

Earlier this week, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin announced a draft guidance for WOTUS involving continuous surface connection. This guidance is great news for cattle producers, and it’s part of the work that the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association has been doing over numerous presidential administrations. In the latest Beltway Beef Podcast, NCBA Chief Counsel Mary-Thomas Hart said they were excited to see the announcement along with the news that the EPA is accepting feedback on WOTUS.

Hart said they will continue to work with the EPA to make sure that WOTUS regulations line up with the intent of the Supreme Court’s Sackett v. EPA decision.
