OELWEIN, Iowa (KCRG) – Five people, including an employee for the Oelwein Community School District who is also a member of the Oelwein City Council, were arrested on Friday. Oelwein police executed two search warrants. The first search warrant was at the 100 block of North Frederick around 5:20 p.m. Illegal substances were found at the location and three people were arrested on various drug charges. Michael Andrew Seeders was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana. Cameron Seeders was charged with the possession of marijuana. Collin Ricchio was charged with possession of psilocybin and marijuana. Police say they then searched the 10 block of 7th Street Northwest at 5:25 p.m., also seizing illegal drugs there and arresting two more people. Michael James Seeders and Karen Seeders were both arrested at that location on charges of possession and intent to deliver marijuana and psilocybin. The Oelwein Community School District superintendent did confirm to TV9 that Karen Seeders worked for the district as an office manager. She is also a city council member. Oelwein police say additional charges are pending and the cases are still under investigation.

LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – One person is in critical condition after a crash in rural Linn County early Sunday morning. The Linn County sheriff’s office says it responded to reports of a crash at Monticello and Prairieburg roads around 3:20 a.m. Authorities say a car had left the roadway and rolled into a farm field. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and was trapped inside. First responders had to remove him from the car by mechanical means. The driver was flown to a local hospital and is in critical condition. The crash is under investigation.

MARENGO, Iowa (KCRG) – One person was injured in a crash in Iowa County Saturday evening. The Iowa State Patrol says a Ford pickup truck was traveling north on Western Avenue near Marengo around 5:45 p.m. The truck turned onto West Miller Street, where it struck a motorcyclist head-on in the intersection. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – The Iowa state patrol says a small plane landed on U.S. Highway 218 Saturday evening after running out of fuel.  Officials say it happened around 5:45 p.m. They say a man operating the bi-wing plane ran out of fuel and landed around the 94 point 8 mile marker in the southbound lane. Officials were able to push the plane onto the side of the road and resume traffic. They then got fuel for the plane, and the pilot safely landed at the Iowa City Airport. The Iowa State Patrol says no one was hurt. Traffic was back to normal by 7 p.m.
