ANAMOSA, Iowa — One person is dead after the ATV the individual was driving rolled into a ditch. First responders were called to Old Dubuque Road near Davidson Blvd. northeast of Anamosa just after 8 p.m. Sunday. Authorities say the driver was traveling north when the driver lost control, and the ATV rolled onto the driver’s side into the ditch. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital but later died. The incident remains under investigation.
LINN COUNTY, Iowa — One person is dead and another hospitalized after a UTV crashed into a ditch, coming to a rest on its side. First responders were called to the 600 block of Waspsi Banks Road in Linn County just after 7 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found one person had died at the scene, and another suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The names of the victims have not been released. The accident remains under investigation.
CEDAR COUNTY, Iowa — A person on a motorcycle is dead after a car pulled out in front of it at an intersection in southern Cedar County. It happened just after 11 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Taylor Avenue and 325 Street in Cedar County just northeast of Wilton. The Iowa State Patrol says the car ignored traffic control devices and entered Taylor, into the path of the oncoming motorcycle. The motorcycle crashed into the passenger side of the car. The names of both drivers involved have not been released. The driver of the car was injured, but that person’s condition is not being released.
HOPKINTON, Iowa — Authorities in Delaware County say a Manchester man lost control of his motorcycle Friday, crashing into a ditch. It happened just after 5 p.m. along county highway D47 west of Hopkinton. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old Lonnie Deitrick lost control of his motorcycle on a curve in the highway. Deitrich was airlifted to University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City where his condition has not been released.
