DES MOINES, Iowa (KCCI/KCRG) -A 29-year-old man is dead after a Sunday morning shooting in Des Moines. Around 2 a.m., police officers who had been patrolling on foot heard gunshots. The shooting occurred on Court Avenue and Water Street. People who saw the incident told police that the shooting occurred between three arguing men. In addition to the man who died, two others are also in critical condition in the hospital. At the scene, police found 3 weapons. The incident is under investigation.

LA PORTE CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – People gathered at a Black Hawk County high school Friday evening to remember a football player killed in a collision earlier in the week. 17-year-old Gavin Rohrbach was a senior at Union High School in La Porte City. The sheriff’s office says he died when the SUV he was in crashed into another SUV. The collision also injured four other teenagers, according to the sheriff’s office. The driver of the other SUV was also hurt. Two of the students involved in the crash attended the memorial. One of the students was released from the hospital and drove to the memorial just before it began. Hundreds of students, athletes, friends, and family passed a shrine of Gavin Rohrbach and gathered at Union High School’s football field. The school district cancelled the football game scheduled against West Delaware. The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s office said the SUV the teen was in crashed with another SUV after running a stop sign. The sheriff’s office is investigating.

LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – An investigation is underway into what started a shed fire in Linn County. Linn County deputies, Linn County Sheriff’s Rescue, Monroe Fire, Palo Fire, Hiawatha Fire, Center Point Fire and Robins Fire responded to a fire at approximately 12:42 p.m. Friday at a property at 10209 Feather Ridge Road. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and firefighters arrived on scene to discover a shed on the property fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters quickly put the fire out. The property owner reported only property damage. No people or animals were inside at the time of the fire. The sheriff’s office said nothing appeared suspicious about the incident.

JO DAVIESS, ILLINOIS (KCRG) -The Jo Daviess Sheriff’s office says the driver of an ATV lost control while trying to make a left turn onto a roadway from East Piroke Road near Stockton, Illinois around 1:30 Saturday morning. The driver and two passengers fell out as the ATV rolled onto its side. The three were able to roll the vehicle back on its side and drive to a nearby residence. All occupants were treated on the scene and the driver of the ATV was airlifted to a local hospital with non life treating injuries. The driver was charged with driving under the influence. The incident is under investigation.
