What Exactly Are They Afraid Of?

I was listening to a segment on KXEL where the host was summarizing all the various legal issues brought against Donald Trump this year. I won’t bore you by going over all of them again, but the latest was indicting Trump supporters for election fraud in Arizona—for doing the exact same things Democrats have done in the past, regarding alternate elector slates.

It led me to think, yet again, what exactly are they afraid of, with Trump in office?

By the way, when I say “they” I am meaning those in elected office or positions of power…including both Democrats and Republicans. A large group of Democrats despise Trump, while a significant number of Republicans find him distasteful and someone they wish would go away.

And that may answer the “what exactly are they afraid of” question.

Those in power don’t want to lose it. The ruling members of the uniparty swamp don’t want their cozy set up disrupted. Trump is a disrupter—he was in business, and more recently in politics.

I don’t necessarily believe there are deep dark secrets that Trump would expose…but he would call out inaction and waste, because he has before. And he’s not “one of them”—the country club in the movie “Caddyshack” comes to mind.

In other words, Trump is not Bushwood material…he relates more to the rest of us. And that’s what drives them crazy, to the point of subverting the judicial system and the Constitution to prevent a second term.
