DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) – Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is expected to endorse Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Monday night. According to a post by DeSantis War Room on Twitter/X, Reynolds will be a guest at a DeSantis Rally in Des Moines on Monday night. The rally is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Multiple news outlets are reporting that the endorsement will be given at the event.

 

CASS COUNTY, Iowa (KCCI) -Several Iowa law enforcement agencies need the public’s help in finding a man who has not returned home in Cass County. County sheriff’s officials are investigating a kidnapping incident that involves two men. The incident happened just after 5 p.m. Saturday. The first victim says he was kidnapped in Lincoln Nebraska and told to drive to Chicago by a man with a gun. When they got to Cass County on I-80, the suspect then pulled a gun on another vehicle: a Silver Chevy truck and drove away with another man, described to be an older white man with a beard. The suspect is described to be a black man, about 5 foot 10, around 160 pounds in their late 20s or early 30s with well-trimmed hair and short beard.

Right now, no word on where the truck is or if the two men are still headed to Chicago.

 

DUBUQUE COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) -Multiple people were injured in a head on collision in Dubuque County early Sunday morning. Deputies, fire, and EMS responded to a two vehicle head on collision on Balltown Road around 2:25 a.m. Sunday morning. The occupants of the vehicles were transported to a local hospital. The names of the subjects have not been released, and officials did not say how many people were injured. The crash remains under investigation.

 

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) -A Cedar Rapids family is without a home after a fire. The fire started in the garage. The Cedar Rapids Fire Department responded to a home in the 300 block of Eastland Drive southeast just after 7 p.m. Saturday. Firefighters say they arrived to find smoke and fire coming from the back side of the garage. Officials say a woman, a dog and cat were inside at the time of the fire. No one was hurt. The house has smoke and water damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
