Confirmed Speakers
We’ve told you before about a list of 20 folks considering a run for the presidency who were invited to speak at the Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition’s major event in Des Moines a week from tomorrow. We now know who has confirmed to be there…and they added a few names to the original invitation list.
The most recent announcement was that front-runner and former President Donald Trump will address the group—but remotely. The list of others who will be there in person is pretty impressive.
They include three declared candidates, each of whom you’ve heard me talk to on KXEL within the past month: former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, and entrepreneurs Perry Johnson and Vivek Ramaswamy.
The list of those speaking in person also includes two with exploratory committees: former Vice President Mike Pence, and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, who was in Iowa this week just as he announced formation of that exploratory committee.
One more from the original invitation list, Congressman Will Hurd, will speak in person.
Two others who will speak were not on the original list. One, Larry Elder, was in Iowa on Wednesday of this week, including in Waterloo. We’ll bring you some of his comments from that visit on KXEL next week. Elder gave up a national radio show to run for Governor of California recently.
Finally, attendees will hear from former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. She is a former presidential candidate…but as a Democrat. She visited our studios for a conversation during that run. She now declares no party affiliation, but has kept a high profile on television and through personal appearances.
As noted, a major event…other speakers still to be confirmed, but a very interesting list so far.
