Starting the Week
By all rights, virtually all of us should be in a really good mood on this Monday.
Christians are just coming off celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and for many, the end of the Lenten season of fasting and penitence.
We are also in the midst of Passover, as Jews worldwide celebrate the end of slavery, when God used Moses to free the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, as told in the book of Exodus.
So again, by all rights, folks should begin this week refreshed spiritually and mentally. The key is how quickly all that goodwill and good feeling will disappear and again be replaced by snide competition in the workplace, partisanship in politics, and feeling the burden of inflation we haven’t felt in more than two generations.
Depending on when you are hearing this segments…all the good may already be long gone, washed away by settling back into a troubled routine.
But if you’re still enjoying the feeling from the weekend, take good care to hold on to it as long as possible. With all the issues in our troubled world and lives, the only way out is by having the right attitude.
It’s a goal to try, anyway.
