This One Has No Title
These weekday commentaries typically begin with a title of sorts. It’s a device used to get your attention, whether you are hearing this on the radio, or checking it out on line.
So here’s the process: I write the segment and record it in both audio and video form. Obviously, you hear the audio on the radio. Then it gets posted to kxel.com, where you can read the script, play an audio podcast, and play a video podcast from a YouTube posting.
That audio also gets uploaded so you can subscribe and hear it through one of 18 different podcast vendors. The video is uploaded to the KXEL YouTube account, as already mentioned, plus to our Rumble account. Then on seven different social media outlets, we post a link to the Rumble video podcast.
Finally, the video is uploaded directly to Facebook. And that’s why this one has no title.
Yesterday’s topic was the belief that Democrats in Washington were not likely to get their so-called Build Back Better bill passed in the Senate before Christmas. That was confirmed by the President and Senate leaders yesterday. The title of the segment was “Build Back Later”, which seemed to make sense given the topic.
And that’s what we posted with the video clip on Facebook…the “Build Back Later” title. One of you was kind enough to comment on the Facebook post, but when I tried to read the comment…it was hidden. It said there was a comment, but unlike others in the past, it was not right there for me to see. I almost had to secure a bloodhound to find it.
I finally did. But why was it hard to find? Was the post somehow flagged because of the title? Granted, the video was there and there was no warning about subversive content. More than a little interesting…and concerning.
By the way, you can find the station on social media “at KXEL 1540” on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Parler, Gettr and MeWe…and KXEL is also on LinkedIn. We have to be on so many…never know when you’ll be blocked by one.
