Open Until the Last Customer Buys

Car salespeople have a bad reputation…there’s a stereotype that I trust you’re familiar with. I’ve always taken offense, since my family owned an auto dealership. But I understand.

The way things are going, though…the example we’ll be using in the future is pharmaceutical companies instead of car salespeople.

Pfizer announced yesterday that its current vaccine will work against the new omicron variant…well, if you get the booster shot, that is. Help me out with this, because I’m not a medical doctor…their two-shot protocol is not tremendously effective against omicron, but the magic third shot fixes that?

Pardon my cynicism, but the more shots Pfizer sells to the government to put into our bodies, the more money they make. And if this gets to be an annual shot…like the flu shot, like the shingles shot…that’s in essence an annuity on their income ledger.

As always, I remind you this is a medical decision, one you should make with your doctor based on real data, and not financial gain for a company or a power grab by a government.

I continue to be struck by the nearly single-minded focus on the vaccine as opposed to treatment…we should be able to handle both tracks at the same time. But sadly, the double speak from government has led us to distrust anything any of them say.

So hurry on down to the vaccine lot and test drive a new booster shot…but as opposed to a sale on cars, it looks like this offer has no expiration date.
