Let’s Go…Well, You Know
Governors often hold bill signing ceremonies in various places…a measure on child care in a pre-school, a new law on historic preservation at a landmark site, that sort of thing.
The Florida legislature passed four separate bills designed to counter Biden Administration edicts on vaccine and mask mandates. Gov. Ron DeSantis liked the bills and so his administration set up a signing ceremony, and opted to do it in a Florida city.
The name of the city? Brandon, of course.
Talk about a real-life meme playing itself out. Even the left has to appreciate how badly they got beaten on this one.
And of course, as the governor stood in the city of Brandon and signed the bills, the crowd broke out in the now familiar “Let’s Go, Brandon” chant.
It’s a chamber of commerce director’s dream.
I had mentioned around the radio station a week ago that we should do an event ourselves in the Buchanan County town of Brandon, but we just couldn’t figure out what.
Now, we know. So Gov. Reynolds, if you’re looking for a chance to take a road trip and bring an executive order, or a policy change announcement with you…may we suggest Brandon? We’ll meet you by the giant frying pan.
