Park Road closed; Bucks games still on

The Waterloo Bucks have announced that Park Road, the only direct access to Riverfront Stadium, has been closed due to the Cedar River flooding.

Despite the road closure, Bucks games at Riverfront this weekend are still scheduled to be played.  Fans that are planning on attending this weekend’s games are encouraged to park on or around Conger Street.

On Saturday, the Bucks face the Duluth Huskies with first pitch slated for 7:05 pm and gates opening at 5:30 pm.  Sunday’s game will begin at 3:35 pm with gates opening at 2:30 pm as Waterloo takes on the St. Cloud Rox.

Flooding from the Cedar River is expected to crest this at 1:00 pm on Sunday at 15.8 feet.  At the time of this press release, flood water is on the corner of Park Rd. and Burton Ave.  The field and stadium is currently not in danger.

The Bucks are currently on a seven-game winning streak, after beating Duluth last night, 10-0.  For more information, call the Bucks’ Ticket Line at (319) 232-5633.  All Bucks games may be heard on KXEL's sister station 1330 ESPN (KWLO-AM).
