Walker reacts to latest job numbers

Governor Walker is encouraged by the state's latest jobs report.

Numbers released yesterday by the state's workforce development department show that the state added 3,200 private sector jobs last month. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate rose 0.1 percent, to 5.8 percent.

During a stop in Appleton yesterday, Walker said he expects the jobless rate to fall the rest of the year.

Workforce development officials also revised their June numbers, to show that the state lost 1,900 private sector jobs that month. That's 700 more than initially thought.

For the year, the state has added 11,000 private sector jobs.
