Alissa Richards named principal at Central Middle School

The Waterloo Schools has hired Alissa Richards as the new principal at Central Middle School.

Richards fills the position being vacated by John Netty who is leaving the district.  Pending board approval, Richards will start July 1.

Richards has been with the district for two years serving as a lead teacher at Poyner and Highland Elementary.

Prior she was a teacher and instructional system specialist at the Department of Defense Schools in Kentucky and Tennessee and a teacher in Wyoming.

“The district is excited to have Alissa head Central Middle School for the upcoming school year bringing her enthusiasm and love for teaching and children to the building,” said Dr. Jane Lindaman, Waterloo Schools Superintendent.
