Walker reacts to John Doe statement

Governor Walker says a statement from the attorney for a special prosecutor is "one more step in setting the record straight" in a John Doe investigation.

Attorney Randall Crocker said Walker has not been subpoenaed, and he was not a target of the investigation. He said prosecutor Francis Schmitz hasn't come to a conclusion on whether anyone should face criminal charges.

Walker reacted to the statement yesterday.

One of the documents that was released a week ago accused Walker of possibly being involved in a "criminal scheme" to evade campaign laws. Crocker said people shouldn't jump to conclusions based on those documents.

A federal judge put the investigation on hold, and prosecutors are appealing the ruling.
