Milwaukee Wins Coors Field Slugfest Over Colorado

Jean Segura homered twice and the Brewers got 3 RBI's a piece from Aramis Ramirez, Khris Davis and Segura as Milwaukee held on to beat Colorado 13-10 Friday night.  The Brewers and Rockies combined for 35 hits and 23 runs on the wild night at Coors Field.  Milwaukee scored in every inning except the 5th and 8th and cranked out eight doubles as a team.  Milwaukee starter Marco Estrada struggled early once again giving up seven runs on ten hits over 5 2/3 innings.  For the 12th start in a row Estrada surrendered a home run as Rockies first baseman Justin Morneau hit a 3-run shot to right field in the 2nd inning.  Estrada, however, was the beneficiary of an offensive outburst by his teammates as he picked up his 6th win of the season.  Milwaukee's win coupled with the St. Louis Cardinals 5-1 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies, pushed the Brewers lead up to 5.5 games in the NL Central.  Milwaukee is now 45-30 on the year and once again holds the best record in the National League.  The Brewers and Rockies are back at it again tomorrow afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 3:10 p.m. and the pre-game show beginning at 2:35 p.m.  on your Fox Cities voice of the Milwaukee Brewers 1150 AM WHBY.
