Sexual assault trial ordered for former Appleton CSO

A former community service officer for the Appleton police department will stand trial on sexual assault charges.

Nineteen-year-old Tyler Jochman was in Outagamie County court this morning for a preliminary hearing. He's accused of forcing a 15-year-old girl to have sexual contact with him, at his apartment, in April. Court records say he also had sexual contact with a 17-year-old girl.

He's charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child, and a misdemeanor count of having sex with a child. Jochman will be back in court, for an arraignment, in July.

He resigned from the police department, after he was arrested.
