2 tornadoes confirmed in Clarksville

Kenny Roose says it took a twister about 30 seconds to rip apart his farmstead near Clarksville.

Roose said Tuesday that, "Basically, everything is gone, except for the house."

The National Weather Service says two tornadoes struck the Clarksville area on Monday.

The service says the first of the EF1 twisters with winds up to 110 mph touched down at 7:55 p.m. about three miles west of Clarksville and lifted four minutes later about a mile west of town.

The second tornado touched down at 8:04 p.m. about a mile northeast of Clarksville and lifted about three minutes later.

The storms damaged some buildings and knocked down trees and power lines.  No injuries have been reported.
