Cedar Falls to open compost facility for storm debris

The Cedar Falls Public Works Department has opened the seasonal compost facility on East Main St to accommodate residents who had storm damage.

Public Works Operations and Maintenance Manager Brian Heath says citizens should only bring in debris associated with storm damage.  No regular yard waste will be allowed.

Hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. today through Friday and from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Heath says the facility will only be available through Saturday June 21st.
