Appleton not ready for order to run water

Some communities around northeast Wisconsin are telling people to continually run their water to avoid frozen water mains, but Appleton isn't ready to take that step yet.

Public works director Paula Vandehey says they're assessing the situation on a daily basis. She says they need to weigh the costs of fixing water mains, against using extra water.

Neenah and New London are among the cities that issued the order to continually run water. They're telling people to run a stream, about the size of the lead in a pencil from one faucet.
