Bald eagles back on Fox River in Kaukauna

A winter attraction for bird watchers, along the Fox River, is back.

About 50 bald eagles are in the islands between the Thilmany Paper mill and 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna. Center naturalist Debbie Nowak says the eagles are coming from the north, in search of food.

Nowak says the best places to see the eagles are at the nature center, or the road that goes past the Thilmany mill. She says the birds are the most active in the morning.
