The Beyond PInk Team in the Cedar Valley has members that are very active on a national level with the National Breast Cancer Coalition as advocates for policy and legislation affecting research for Breast Cancer, and more. An intitiative of the NBCC is to know how to end breast cancer by the year 2020. It's called Deadline 2020. Two members, Lori Seawell and Christine Carpenter, discuss their latest projects and efforts.

The ITEC Student Tech Fair is held annually in three locations in Iowa--Sioux City, Ames and Cedar Falls. The Fair is a judged competition of high school students projects that inolve technology and science. The Fair is coordinated by the guest on this interview, Dr. Leigh Zeitz--Associate Professor of the Dept of Curriculum and Instruction; College of Education at UNI.

The Waterloo Black Hawks won the USHL regular season championship with a dramatic 9-round shoot-out against arch-rival Cedar Rapids Roughriders. The Black Hawks brought the Anderson Cup to the show and talked about the season, the US Olympic Hockey experience and the coming Clarke Cup Playoffs. Two of the Hawks discuss it all with Gary--Goalie, Cameron Johnson (who was in the crease to block all 9 of those shootout shots!) and defenseman Alec McCrea.

The CAT Team is a group of educators, health professionals and parents in the Cedar Valley that meet quarterly to discuss best practices in helping their children deal with Autism and Attention Deficit Disorder; at school, home and life.
